PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching machine that facilitates the positioning of a punch die and a faceplate on the machine. SOLUTION: The punching machine 1 is provided with the punch die 10, the faceplate 20 which is arranged oppositely to the punch die 10 so as to be relatively movable in the direction of approaching and separating to/from the punch die 10, a support part 50 which slidably supports the faceplate 20 in a plane vertical to the direction of approaching and separating to and from the punch die 10, an engaging part 82 formed at the punch die 10, and a part 81 to be engaged that is formed at a position opposite to the engaging part 82 in the faceplate 20 so as to be engaged with the engaging part 82 accompanied by transition from a separated state to a close state between the punch die 10 and faceplate 20. The punch die 10 and faceplate 20 are arranged at a position that allows punching in an engaged state between the engaging part 82 and the part 81 to be engaged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
