The invention relates to a method for covering an elongated product, in particular cable looms with a wrapper comprising first and second one-side adhesive tapes, which are laminated on each other on the adhesive substance side in a longitudinal direction and off-set from each other, wherein a free edge of the first coating adhesive tape is oriented in a parallel direction with respect to a central axis in such a way that the adhesive matter of the first adhesive tape is outwardly directed with respect to the product central axis, the first adhesive tape of the wrapper is guided on the product by the free edge and is wound about the product in such a way that it is substantially completely wrapped therearound, the second adhesive tape of the wrapper is guided in the other product winding, wherein the open adhesive substance of the second adhesive tape is pasted on the open adhesive substance of the first adhesive tape in such a way that the product is always wrapped with at least two adhesive tape layers. |
