<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin porous sheet having an enhanced lofting characterics. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step of adding reinforcing fibers of an average length of approximately 5 mm to 50 mm and particles of a thermoplastic resin powder to a stirred aqueous bubble, a step of placing a dispersed mixture of the reinforcing fibers and the thermoplastic resin particles on a support structure, a step of discharging water in order to form a web, a step of orientating a part of the reinforcing fibers in a Z-axis direction, a step of heating the web to a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic resin, and a step of compressing the web to a predetermined thickness in order to form a thermoplastic composite porous sheet having a porosity of approximately 1% to approximately 95%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
