<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system capable of obtaining an operation system with high degree of freedom according to the kind of the content, an image display device, a communication terminal device, a device control method, and a content control method. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device transmits operation panel data corresponding to the content displayed on a first display means to the communication terminal device. The communication terminal device uses the operation panel data to display an operation panel image for controlling the content displayed on the first display means.
