PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device using a medium roll with a medium wound in a roll capable of detecting a terminating end of the medium by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The printing device 10 using a medium roll 20 with a medium wound in a roll comprises a delivery roller 102 capable of rotatably holding the medium roll 20 so that a medium 30 is successively delivered from the medium roll 20 according to the force of drawing out the medium 30, a printing unit 112 for printing the medium 30 delivered from the medium roll 20, a winding roller 108 for winding the medium 30 printed by the printing unit 112, a driven roller 104 provided between the delivery roller 102 and the printing unit 112 and rotated according to the movement of the medium 30 to be conveyed, and a terminating end detection unit 114 for detecting a terminating end of the medium 30 to be conveyed by detecting the stop of the rotation of the driven roller 104.
