<p>The depressible insert comprises a resilient body 401 within which is held a plastic eye 300 comprising a corner cube reflector 200 with at least one resilient wiper 440A,B,C,D being formed by part of the resilient body for cleaning the plastic eye. The corner cube reflector comprises a pattern of hexagonal cells which are divided into first and second groups that have first and second orientations, respectively, wherein the first and second orientations are configured such that in use the first and second groups of cells provide different horizontal distributions of reflectivity from the road stud. The corner cube is preferably formed from acrylic with a backing plate attached to the corner cube reflector assembly by acoustic welding to provide an air gap between the reflector and the backing plate. The backing plate preferably includes two studs for engaging corresponding holes in the resilient body to hold the plastic eye in place. The insert may have at least three, and preferably four, resilient wiper blades.</p> |
