<p>The present invention relates to a method for the production of expandable polystyrene (EPS), wherein styrene polymer, a foaming agent, a thermal insulation value increasing agent and usual additives are jointly extruded in an extruder. The present invention furthermore relates to particulate, expandable polystyrene which can be processed into a foam having a fine cell structure and a low density, and which, in order to improve the thermal insulation value thereof, contains a thermal insulation value increasing agent. The present invention moreover relates to polystyrene materials with a base of particulate expandable polystyrene.</p> |
