CHIP TYPE APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING CELLS FROM MIXTURE

A chip type apparatus for separating cells from a mixture is provided to maximize separation efficiency of cells by exposing cells to relatively strong magnetic force and regulating the width of a cell mixture solution layer depending on the separation conditions, thereby separating all cells regardless of their size in one cell separation chip. A chip type apparatus for separating cells from a mixture comprises: a lower plate part(221) containing a plurality of cell mixture solution-receiving parts(222', 222") having different diameters on the surface in which the cell mixture solution contains specific cells with magnetic carriers; an upper plate part(211) located opposite the lower plate part and having grooves(212) for adsorbing the cell mixture solution of the cell mixture solution-receiving parts in the lower surface; a magnetic force applying tool located on the upper surface of the upper plate part; and a tool for regulating the width between the upper and lower plate parts, bound to the upper or lower plate parts, wherein the cells are separated by regulating the width of upper and lower plate parts to be narrow so as to induce adsorption of the cell mixture solution to a bottom surface of the upper plate part and form a cell mixture solution layer and regulating the width of upper and lower plate parts to be broad to remove the cell mixture solution layer so as to separate specific cells moved into the bottom of the upper plate part by applying the magnetic force to the cell mixture solution layer and remaining cells moved to the cell mixture solution- receiving part of the lower plate part by gravity.
