THE BUTTERFLY VALVE AND IT'S MANUFACTURE METHOD

A butterfly valve and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to reduce the thickness of a disk to enlarge a flow passage cross-section, thereby increasing the flow rate of the valve. A butterfly valve includes a pair of valve bodies(10a,10b), and a valve disk(20). The valve bodies have vertically divided semi-circular halves, which face each other. The valve disk is installed at the valve bodies to open and close a flow passage. A rotary shaft(22) is integrally formed with the valve disk. The valve bodies are rotatably assembled to the rotary shaft and integrally fastened to each other by a rubber seat(30) injection molded inside the flow passage formed between the valve bodies. Packing members(40) are inserted into upper and lower ends of the rotary shaft to prevent fluid leak.
