摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the tilt misalignment tolerance from becoming smaller in the optical disk and the objective lens although it is becoming smaller following the trend of high-density recording on optical disks, and an optical disk drive thereof. SOLUTION: The return light of the converged light beam radiated to an optical disk to record or reproduce data 15 is divided and two signals I1, I2 are detected. Then, the tilt coefficient is obtained from the asymmetry or resolution of those signals. The misalignment of the tilt angle between the normal axis of the surface of the optical disk 15 and the optical axis of the objective lens 13 is corrected based on this tilt coefficient.
