PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light filter for a lighting fixture of a good design and excellent ultraviolet resistance and thermostability with an insect-trapping property curtailed in the case of use as the lighting fixture, and to provide a lighting fixture using the same. SOLUTION: The light filter 1 for the lighting fixture, with a transmittance of 2% or less at a wavelength from 300 nm to 395 nm and that of 50% or less at a wavelength of 405 nm, is formed of resin composition mainly composed of polycarbonate resin. A maximum value 3 of transmittance within a wavelength range of 420 nm to 450nm is smaller at a regression transmittance line 4 formed by extending a line segment connecting transmittances at wavelengths of 700 nm and 800 nm than at that 5 at a wavelength giving the maximum value 3 in the wavelength range from 420 nm to 450 nm by 2% or more.
