PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of realizing correction of a drop in peripheral light quantity by using a computational expression wherein the computational complexity is suppressed. SOLUTION: In the case of applying the correction of a drop in the peripheral light quantity to image data obtained by imaging an optical image passing through an optical system including a lens and an aperture section and made incident on an imaging section, a correction gain of a pixel value of an optional pixel of the image data is calculated by using a correction formula that is expressed by only terms proportional to an even-ordered distance from an optical center of the optical system to the pixel depending on an aperture position of the aperture section, and the pixel value of the pixel is corrected by the calculated correction gain.
