The method involves attempting to transmit an electronic document e.g. electronic mail, from a sender of the document to the destination of a recipient of the document by implementing a transmission attribute. A value of the transmission attribute is evaluated according to observed correspondence anomalies for each attempt of the transmission. The sender is initiated from the evaluation of the transmission attribute. An independent claim is also included for a device for securing data transfer.
