PROCESS FOR THE IMPREGNATION OF CARBON FIBER BUNDLES

A method for impregnating bundles of carbon fiber bundles is provided to prevent the bundles of carbon fibers from sticking each other in curable resin, by maintaining the bundles of carbon fibers in a mechanically generated fluid layer until the resin is cured or dried so that the bundles no longer stick each other. In a process of impregnating bundles of carbon fibers with curable resin of liquid type, the bundles of carbon fibers are present in a mechanically generated fluid layer during impregnation. The bundles of carbon fibers are maintained in the fluid layer until the resin is cured or dried so that the bundles no longer stick each other. Carbon fibers in the bundles of carbon fibers are maintained by a carbonized binding agent.
