PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to manufacture a rear plate of a large PDP efficiently and without causing color difference in each region exposed. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a display member comprises (A) a process in which a photosensitive paste is coated and dried on a substrate and a coating film is obtained, (B) a process in which an operation to expose a part of the exposed part of the coating film is exposed a plurality of times through a photo mask and the whole exposed part is exposed, (C) a process in which the exposed coating film is heat treated, (D) a process in which a pattern is formed by developing the coated film heat-treated, and (E) a process in which a barrier rib is formed by calcining the coated film with the pattern formed.
