A tidal current power plant is provided to generate electricity through several steps when seawater is contained and discharged to readily generate electricity using the rise and fall of the tide. A tidal current power plant includes a seawater inlet/outlet port(1), a first seawater tank(2), a second seawater tank(3), a main seawater tank(4), and a power generating tank(5). The seawater inlet/outlet port includes a filtering net(1a) installed at a front end thereof. The first seawater tank is in communication with the seawater inlet/outlet port. The second seawater tank is disposed at a side surface of the first seawater tank. The main seawater tank is in communication with the second seawater tank. The power generating tank is disposed on the main seawater tank. A first turbine(6) is installed under the first seawater tank. The first turbine generates a rotational force toward a first shaft(6a) by seawater flowing through from the first seawater tank to the second seawater tank. |
