PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus able to close a cover while moving a process cartridge to an attaching position with light force.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a housing 21 having an opening 21A that is open in a higher position; a top cover 22 (a cover) that opens or closes the opening 21A; a process cartridge attachable to or detachable from the housing 21 through the opening 21A; a guide 200 that guides the attachment or detachment of the process cartridge; and a pressing face 24A (a pressing part) provided on the top cover 22 and configured to press the process cartridge to an attaching position by contacting the process cartridge, unattached in the housing 21, when the top cover 22 closes the opening 21A. The locus of the pressing face 24A in the housing 21 when the top cover 22 is opened or closed is substantially the same as the shape of the guide 200. |
