METHOD AND SYSTEM AND MEDIA INDEPENDENT SWITCH APPARATUS FOR WIRELESS-NETWORK ENVIRONMENT DETECTION AND REPORTING IN NETWORK HANDOVER

A wireless-network environment detection and reporting method in network handover is provided. The method includes steps: entity of media independent handover function MIHF at terminal side initiates network scanning, and after scanning generates report of radio network environmental parameters including dynamic information and static information of scanned point of access POA around terminal; MIHF at terminal side sends the report to upper layer of the terminal side or to MIHF at network side. A wireless-network environment detection and reporting system and a media independent switch apparatus in network handover are also disclosed. Supporting isomorphic and isomerous network environment at same time, the invention raises accuracy for selecting object access point when network side initiates switching so as to improving efficiency for switching network.
