A driver shaft connecting head and grip of a golf club is provided to prevent the shaft from being twisted at the moment a golfer strikes a golf ball and thus to prevent a change in strike point position. A driver shaft(3) connecting head and grip of a golf club includes: an oval shaped tube(31) made out of metal, resin or carbon and having a smaller diameter toward the head from the grip; a circular shaped carbon tube(32), which encompasses the front and rear sides of the oval shaped tube in a manner that a major axis of the oval shaped tube is located in parallel to a strike face of the head and has a smaller diameter toward the head from the grip; an adhesive layer(34) between the front and rear sides of the oval shaped tube and the carbon tube; and a resin packed layer(33) disposed between the oval shaped tube and the carbon tube.
