PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the installation workability and the maintenance workability, and to minimize the magnet appearance dimension including the cover in a superconductive magnet. SOLUTION: In the case of an oval cylindrical superconductive magnet 1, the shape of an extremely low-temperature container 4 is formed into an oval cylindrical shape of which the upper part has an approximately flat structure, and also, the side surface section of which has a curved structure. By this structure, an extremely low-temperature refrigerant gas 6 is accumulated on the upper flat structure which extends in the side surface direction. In the oval cylindrical superconductive magnet 1, the arrangement of a refrigerator 7, an external exhaust pipe 8, and a liquid injection port 10 at a position which is shifted in the side surface direction from a directly upper region on the external surface of a vacuum container 5 becomes possible. Therefore, when a worker performs the installation work and the maintenance work, accessing the refrigerator 7, the external exhaust pipe 8 and the liquid injection port 10 from the side surface direction of the vacuum container is easy, so that the workability can be improved.
