PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrodynamic bearing device with hydrodynamic pressure generation parts molded with high accuracy and low cost. SOLUTION: A bearing 3 is formed with injection molding of a metal part 4 inserted therein to form the hydrodynamic pressure generation parts G1, G2 using resin molding contraction. This eliminates the need for forming a complicated hydrodynamic pressure groove shape in a mold, resulting in the formation of the hydrodynamic pressure generation parts G1, G2 with low cost. With proper selection of a resin material for a resin part 5, bearings different in property are obtained including a bearing in which a portion nearest an outer peripheral face 2a of a shaft member 2 is formed with the metal part 3 and a bearing in which it is formed with the resin part 5.
