<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case and a portable device in which the type of an internal component can be recognized easily even when a first case and a second case are bonded by heat welding. <P>SOLUTION: A lower case and an upper case constituting a case are bonded by heat welding. Since the lower case and the upper case become undecomposable, take-out of a circuit board by an unspecified third person is inhibited. A plurality of kinds of lower cases 13a, 13b and 13c of different colors are prepared and the colors are associated with the kinds of circuit boards 42a, 42b and 42c of different specifications. The circuit boards 42a, 42b, 42c and the lower cases 13a, 13b, 13c having an associated color are attached to the upper case as one set.
