A power electric transmission apparatus for a hybrid vehicle is provided to preclude the energy circulation, and to increase the power transmitting efficiency by dividing the power at middle/high speed ranges through three planetary gear sets and a pair of clutches. A power electric transmission apparatus for a hybrid vehicle comprises first, second, and third planetary gear sets. The first planetary gear set includes a first sun gear connected to a first motor-generator, a first carrier rotatably coupled with the first sun gear, and a first ring gear whose inner peripheral surface is geared with the pinion. The second planetary gear set includes a second sun gear, a second carrier rotatably coupled with the second sun gear, and a second ring gear connected to the first ring gear and an axle. The third planetary gear set includes a third sun gear connected to a second motor-generator, a third carrier rotatably coupled with the three sun gear, and a third ring gear connected to the first sun gear. The third ring gear is connected between the first sun gear and a fixing point and interrupted by a pair of clutches. The rotary speed of the first and second motor-generators is controlled by interrupting the pair of clutches.
