<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of modifying a fuel model without stopping supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The control device includes a fuel model for calculating an amount of fuel to be injected from both a passage fuel injection valve 11a and a cylinder fuel injection valve 11b based on a target amount of evaporation fuel to be filled in a combustion chamber 5, by using as a parameter an adhesion rate of the fuel injected by the fuel injection valves to the wall surfaces of an engine intake passage and the combustion chamber 5, thereby injecting a calculated amount of fuel to be injected. The control device controls the fuel injection in such a manner that the fuel injection from either of the fuel injection valves is stopped and thereafter the fuel injection from the fuel injection valve is restarted, and calculates the adhesion rate of the fuel to the wall surfaces based on an amount of the evaporation fuel estimated after restarting the fuel injection. When the fuel injection from one fuel injection valve is stopped, the fuel is injected from the other fuel injection valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
