PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a log format conversion device, a log format conversion method and a log format conversion program, automatically generating a log format necessary to convert various log files into a common format. SOLUTION: In this log format conversion device, an applicable log format is retrieved from existing log formats when converting the log files collected by a log collection means 21 into the common format in a format conversion means 22, and regularity is extracted from a character string pattern of a log recorded in the log format and log format-generating knowledge when the applicable log format is absent to analyze an unknown log file without creating the log format by a developer of a log collection/analysis program or a user, so that a time required for log management/analysis work can be reduced.
