PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method for rapidly and highly precisely inspecting defects of a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: The inspection method for the liquid crystal display panel, which is provided with a plurality of control lines, a plurality of signal lines crossing the plurality of control lines, and pixels arranged at crossing positions between the control lines and the signal lines and having liquid crystal elements formed by enclosing liquid crystal materials between the opposite electrodes, is provided with: a preliminary writing process for impressing voltage to the plurality of liquid crystal elements of pixels to be inspected in parallel; and a main inspection process for sequentially executing inspections of the pixels to be inspected. The main inspection process includes: a main writing process for impressing predetermined voltage to the liquid crystal elements of the pixels to be inspected; and a reading process for discharging electric charges accumulated in the liquid crystal elements of the pixels to be inspected and measuring an amount of the discharge electric charges by the main inspection process.
