The invention relates to an acid sensation increasing agent. An acid sensation increasing agent is a substance or composition providing a food and preferably a beverage with a taste which is experienced as being more acid than would be expected on the basis of the pH. The invention further relates to a method for increasing the acid sensation, wherein the acid sensation increasing agent is used. Finally, the invention relates to fruit juice containing beverages and particularly fruit juice having therein the acid sensation increasing agent according to the invention.
