PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharging part structure of wash water from a tank in a low-cost fruit vegetable food washing apparatus effective even to washing of green vegetables. SOLUTION: A machine for washing with the hands is set in the fruit vegetable food washing apparatus which has a tank to wash fruit vegetable food, a buffer tank which is unitedly arranged adjacently to the tank and collects wash water from the tank, a circulation mechanism which returns wash water in the buffer tank to the tank. A discharging part which discharges wash water from the tank to the buffer tank is set on the connection part of the tank and the buffer tank. The discharging part comprises a wall set up between the tank and the buffer tank, and includes an overflow part which is formed on the upper end of the wall and overflows wash water in the tank to the buffer tank, and an oblong slit hole which flows wash water from the bottom wall of the tank to the buffer tank through setting the lower edge on the bottom wall upper surface of the tank and at least a surface or a position therebelow. The machine has a compact structure, prevents readhesion of foreign substances in the tank, and efficiently performs even washing of green vegetables. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
