<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of executing next data writing with optimal writing laser power even when a change occurs in optimal writing laser power in a period after first data writing until next data writing for continuously writing data in the same optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The optical disk device 20 is provided with a writing laser power setting means 42 for executing test writing in the test write area of an optical disk 21 while changing laser power, and setting proper writing laser power by reading the test-written data, and a write control means 44 for writing data in the optical disk 21 by the laser power set by the writing laser power setting means 42. If predetermined conditions are satisfied in a period after the end of data writing until next data writing, the writing laser power setting means 42 execute test writing again so as to set proper laser power for the next data writing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
