PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can prevent a label after separation from release paper from being suspended from an outlet of the printer and stuck on the installation surface of the printer, and enables an operator to easily perform a sticking operation, by enabling the adjustment of the height of the printer. SOLUTION: Characteristically, the printer 1 is provided with an ascending/descending part 10. When the length of the protrusion of the separated label 13 from the outlet 22 of the printer 1 is greater in dimension than a height H to the lowermost point of the outlet of the printer 1 from the installation surface 27 where the printer 1 is installed, the ascending/descending part 10 can perform adjustment so that the height H to the lowermost point of the outlet 22 of the printer 1 from the installation surface 27 can be greater in dimension than the length of the protrusion of the label 13 from the outlet 19.
