<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a variation in the energy amount of a power supply and a wasteful loss by making power fed from the power supply zero at light-load operation by extremely small torque. <P>SOLUTION: This drive unit of a PM motor is composed of: an inverter 1 that converts an applied DC voltage to an AC current; the PM motor 3 that is driven by the AC current; and a control means that controls the inverter on the basis of a torque current command IqRef obtained from an input torque command TmRef. The drive unit also comprises: a current detector 10 that detects a DC input current IdcINV inputted to the inverter according to the DC voltage; a light-load determination part 17 that determines whether the torque command TmRef is in the vicinity of zero or not; a zero current control part 16 that corrects the torque current command IqRef so that the DC input current IdcINV is made zero on the basis of the detected value when the torque command TmRef is in the vicinity of zero; and a switching part 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
