A driving circuit for a power device is provided to prevent a negative noise in a ground potential by maintaining a reference voltage for a ground level of the driving circuit at a constant value. A driving circuit for a power device includes a level shifter circuit(10), a mask circuit(17), and a short-circuiting circuit(13). The level shifter circuit shifts voltage levels for an on-signal and an off-signal, which control the power device to on and off states, respectively, and outputs the level-shifted results. When both the levels of the on-signal and off-signal are lower than a first threshold level, the mask circuit blocks the on-signal and the off-signal. The short-circuiting circuit is arranged at a front stage of the mask circuit. When both the levels of the on-signal and off-signal are lower than a second threshold level, the short-circuiting circuit short-circuits delivery paths for the on-signal and the off-signal. The second threshold level is higher than the first threshold level.
