The invention concerns a transmission method (1) for a transmitter (EM) having N carriers. The method involves distributing into subgroups a set of carriers among the N carriers based on a predetermined criterion and determining a set of power levels emitted per subgroup which observes an optimum frequency distribution, among the subcarriers of the set, of the total power emitted for that set, while minimizing an overall error criterion (BER) with the proviso that the sum of power levels of one set is equal to the product of the number N<SUB>tg</SUB> of subgroup carriers and the average total power emitted on the N carriers. |
