PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing a double call arrival and key telephone device in which the arrival of only one call is displayed and the arrival of another call is not displayed, when there is double call arrival from the same calling party. SOLUTION: A key telephone master unit comprises: a measuring means F44 for measuring the time until detecting second outside line call arrival when first outside line call arrival is detected; a storage means F48 for storing calling party information that is detected when the first outside line call arrival is detected; a passage determination means F45 for determining whether the measurement by the measuring means F44 is within a fixed time when the second outside line call arrival is detected; a coincidence determination means F46 for determining whether calling party information of the first outside line call arrival stored in the storage means F48 is coincident with calling party information which is detected in the second outside line call arrival if it is detected that the measurement is within the fixed time; and a display control means F47 which does not display the second outside line call arrival on a display means of a key telephone set when coincidence is detected.
