PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic image development satisfying both of low-temperature fixability and hot storage resistance and ensuring stable charge stability, a method for manufacturing the same, an image forming method and an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic image development comprises toner particles containing at least a resin and a colorant and having a core part and a shell part covering that, wherein the shell has an eight-point average film thickness of 100-300 nm and a maximum film thickness Hmax to minimum film thickness Hmin ratio (Hmax/Hmin) of <1.50.
