PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder having a network connection function capable of successfully moving data in a more highly reliable state even if an apparatus being a data movement destination has to process a request from a user independently of an origin-of-movement apparatus such as AV equipment when the data are moved while the recording capacity of the data movement source device (recorder) is almost filled. SOLUTION: When the movement source device detects the shortage of a recording capacity, the origin-of-movement apparatus determines a content to be moved in a held content, selects a movement destination apparatus suitable to receive the movement of the content among movement destination apparatus selected in advance by the user, and transmits dummy video recording reservation information including the information of a movement time to the selected movement destination apparatus to make the selected movement destination apparatus prepare the actual video recording of the moved content, thereby achieving the content movement to the selected movement destination apparatus in a more highly reliable state, thus performing more reliable postscript recording.
