DRIVER OF COLOR LED BACKLIGHT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver of a color LED backlight for finely adjusting each independently the forward voltages of a color LED array for respective channels of a plurality of LED arrays.

SOLUTION: The driver of a color LED backlight includes: an I/O interface for interfacing the input/output of signals; a control unit for controlling a drive voltage and a drive current according to a luminance control signal through the I/O interface; a DC/DC converter for converting an operating voltage to a drive voltage according to the drive voltage control of the control unit; a voltage regulator for converting a drive voltage from the DC/DC converter to a reference voltage without any ripples; a multi-channel drive section for converting a reference voltage from a voltage regulator to each forward voltage of a plurality of color LED arrays according to each of a plurality of control signals; and a current source for adjusting the amount of drive current flowing through the color LED backlight according to the drive current control of the control unit.
