PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of cleaning of a conveying member and to suppress variation of the charging performance of a charging means which electrostatically attracts a recording medium to the conveying member. SOLUTION: In an inkjet recorder using a water-based ink, a silicone oil is applied to a surface of a conveyor belt 28 by an oil applying unit 62, whereby an adhesive force of the water-based ink to the conveyor belt is weakened. The ink on the conveyor belt 28 is cleaned by a blade 49 of a belt cleaning unit 48. Moreover, a charging roll 36 is made non-contact to the conveyor belt 28, and a gap between the charging roll 36 and the conveyor belt 28 is made smaller than the thickness of a paper P.
