Liquefaction method for continuous liquefaction of solids in fermenter involves generating an upwards-directed flow of the organic solids in a spreading liquid (3). The organic solids (2) are added in the lower region of the fermenter (1) and the solid fermentation residues (13) are essentially collected below the spreading liquid surface (25) and taken off. An independent claim is also included for a liquefaction plant with a fermenter having a liquid withdrawal unit.
