The valve arrangement (4) has a direction control valve (14) formed by a constantly adjustable metering diaphragm. The pressure suspended at the pressure limiting valve (26) is adjustable with an increase of the flow rate in the direction of low pressure suspended by non-passing through pressure limiting valve. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a valve arrangement.
