PURPOSE:To prevent an edge phenomenon and to obtain a large-area image with high thin line reproducibility and uniform solid black density by using a network structure consisting of an electrically conductive network part and an electrically insulating part as an electrically conductive support and forming a photosensitive layer on the support. CONSTITUTION:For example, a thin Al layer is formed on a polyester film, and micropores having about 100mu diameter are made in the Al layer by about 5,000/ cm<2> by photoetching or other method. This film is then stuck to a cylinder and fixed, and a photosensitive layer is formed with Se or the like. The photosensitive layer partially contacts with the electrically conductive layer and with the insulating film layer. By conducting uniform charging, imagewise exposure and development, a uniform large-area image with high density is obtd. on the photosensitive layer without making the density at the central part ununiform by an edge effect. |
