PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammering tool which drives a hammering member for a material to be machined and makes hammering smooth. SOLUTION: A charging type pin tacker as the hammering tool is provided with a mechanism for moving a cam block 171 onto an inner side in the radial direction toward a small diameter region 178c by using mutual sliding action of a first inclined face 171b and a second inclined face 178f when the cam block 171 is pressed in the direction of reverse rotation through a second erected wall 178e of a cam disk 177 when rotary operation in the direction of forward rotation of the cam disk 177 is stopped by stopping driving of a driving motor, in the process in which the cam block 171 moves from a rear end region in a large diameter region 178b of the cam disk 177 into the small diameter region 178c via the second erected wall 178e.
