PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin covered rubber hose preventive of high-temperature swelling at its surface when caulked in a fixing method of caulking the outer periphery of the hose while retaining its good come-off resistance in various fixing methods for inserting a fitting into the end of the hose. SOLUTION: An inner face rubber layer 2, a reinforcing layer 3, an outer face rubber layer 4 and a cover resin layer 5 are laminated in sequence from the inner periphery side. The thickness of the cover resin layer 5 is 0.5-3.0 mm, compression sets Cs1, Cs2 (JIS K 6262, 70°C×22 hours) of the inner face rubber layer 2 and the outer face rubber layer 4 are each 5-70%, and an average compression set CsA calculated with their weighted average in accordance with a thickness t1 of the inner face rubber layer 2 and a thickness t2 of the outer face rubber layer 4 is 22-35%.
