PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a structure which does not require plating of two kinds of alloy materials at the same time and has a new L10 ordered alloy phase, to provide a magnetic recording medium, and to provide a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: The structure manufacturing method includes a process which prepares a plurality of columnar members vertical to a film surface composed of a metal X of either Pt or Pd and a film composed of a matrix 2 surrounding the columnar members 11, a process which removes a part of or all of the matrix 2, a process which covers the surfaces of the columnar members composed of the metal X exposed by removing the matrix with a metal Y of either Fe, Co or Ni, and a process which forms the L10 ordered alloy phase containing the metal X and metal Y by a heat treatment. The magnetic recording medium and permanent magnet employ a structure in which the L10 ordered alloy phase of fine FePt etc. is embraced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
