PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playlist preparation device and a playlist preparation method which achieve preparation of a playlist by which a third person can recognize a distributer of recorded content and can collect a playlist content in simple manner. SOLUTION: A data file of content and distributer information indicating the distributer is recorded in an information recording part 12, a content table of which the data file is recorded in the information recording part 12 is displayed on a display part 13, an operation part 14 receives content selection input selecting content to be recorded in the playlist from the content table displayed on the display part 13, a data management part 16 reads out distributer information of the content selected by the content selection input from the information recording part 12, and prepares the playlist in which the read out distributer information is described and the content selected by the content selection input is recorded.
