<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater capable of minimizing energy necessary for sterilizing treatment, and supplying hot water even in the sterilizing treatment. <P>SOLUTION: In a hot water supply passage 11 from a hot water storage tank 7 to a hot water supply plug 8 through an auxiliary heat source unit 17 and a mixing valve 21, a sub-tank 19 is disposed between the auxiliary heat source unit 17 and the mixing valve 21, and a time required for the hot water to flow from the auxiliary heat source unit 17 to the mixing valve 21 through the sub-tank 19 is determined to be longer than a necessary sterilizing time. Further a bypass passage 20 is formed in parallel with the sub-tank 19, and a three-way valve 18 is disposed to switch a hot water passage to either of the sub-tank 19 and the bypass passage 20. When the amount of use of hot water in the hot water storage tank 7 becomes smaller than requirements for a specific period, the three-way valve 18 is switched to a sub-tank 19 side, and the hot water is heated higher than a sterilizing temperature by the auxiliary heat source unit 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
