Rolling two or more rotating bodies/cylinders (2) onto each other produces hot-spots (3) in sectors of the rotating bodies/cylinders. An induction device (1) is fitted so that an inductive energy coupling takes place so as to compensate for all hot-spots in the rotating bodies' sectors opposite the hot-spots. An independent claim is also included for a method for compensating for local hot-spots in rotating bodies on printing machines.
