PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain image quality while reducing EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) in a driving circuit of an original reader. SOLUTION: A frequency of a basic clock generated by an OSC1 is multiplied by a PLL2, and an SSCG3 performs ON/OFF of a frequency spread. A timing generator 4 generates a timing signal, and a driver IC5 generates a driving signal. A timing constant of the driving signal is switched by a dumping resister. The dumping resister is switched to independent R1 or a parallel connection of R1 and R2 by a MOSFET switch 8. In a case of high speed and middle image quality, the frequency spread is made ON, and the time constant is made small. In a case of middle seed and high image quality, the frequency spread is made OFF, and the time constant is made large.
