An animal feed supplement comprises an at least partially vitrified carrier material composition containing one or more additives. The carrier material composition comprises either one or more carbohydrate-containing materials from the group comprising condensed molasses solubles (CMS), apple molasses, pot ale syrup and whey products; or two or more carbohydrate-containing materials from the group comprising CMS sugar cane molasses, sugar beet molasses, apple molasses, pot ale syrup and whey products. The additives may comprise a vitamin, a mineral, a protein, a flavouring, a colourant or a preservative. Also disclosed are a method for producing such an animal feed supplement and an apparatus for forming such an animal feed supplement. |
