An apparatus for controlling a vector inverter for a winder is provided to enable a lower-stage controller to calculate a command speed independently of an upper-stage controller by calculating a diameter of an element inside an inverter system. An apparatus for controlling a vector inverter for a winder includes a speed detector(217), a diameter calculator(220), and a command speed calculator(219). The speed detector detects a rotation speed of an induction motor. The diameter calculator receives a linear speed command and the minimum diameter from the outside, receives the rotation speed of the motor from the speed detector, and calculates a diameter of an element. The command speed calculator receives the linear speed command and the minimum diameter from the outside, receives the diameter from the diameter calculator, and calculates the command speed based on the received information. |
